Why Your Elastic Stretch Bracelets Break
Our elastic bracelets are triple-strung with pre-stretched cord to withstand daily wear, but with all stretch bracelets, the elastic will eventually break. While this may be inevitable, there are ways you can prolong the life of your elastic bracelets by making a few simple changes in how you wear them.
To minimize wear on the elastic, slip bracelets on and off your wrist by rolling the bracelet gently on and off your hand instead of overly-stretching the bracelet. Avoid pulling on one end of the bracelet to stretch it over your hand, this stresses the elastic which will eventually cause it to snap.
Bracelets made with elastic should be kept out of prolonged water. Take your bracelet off before showering, swimming, or washing the dishes. The elastic cord will wear down with long exposure to water, both hot and cold, so try to keep elastic bracelets away from harsh cleaning chemicals, extreme temperatures, lotions, perfumes, soaps, and anything that will react with the elastic.
With proper care, elastic bracelets can be enjoyed for years with just a few considerations in the way you wear and care for them.
